It’s been awhile again.
There’s just too much going on these days, that my lethargic blogging can’t keep up with. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick things back up when I’m back rotting away at home over winter break. Good times.

During my absence here, I actually started two new blogs on the side:

This is a personal tribute to Jpop, where I transcribe Jpop lyrics into romaji. I suppose it’s a way to give back to the online Jpop community that basically helped nurture my interest in Japanese culture.

Ads In Translation

This is actually a blog for my magazine editing course at school. The requirement is 30 posts in 7 days, and the theme is Japanese advertisements. Although this is a topic I’m sufficiently interested in, I’m currently on 3 posts with 3 days left. Haha. And I know, what a cliche blog title. I hate it too.

Tokyo Jihen – Koi wa Maboroshi (Get It Up For Love)

Tokyo Jihen, or rather Tokyo Incidents as they’re known in English, hit me like a big, yellow, shining school bus. I really wasn’t ready at all for this. Their songs and talent are so mindblowing, that it actually angers me that it took me so long to discover them. I acknowledge that I do dart in and out of my obsessional phases way too frequently, but wow, this time, I don’t know, seriously, I’m at a loss for words. Their music gets better with each listen, and it makes me so euphorically happy and sad at the same time. It’s a trip.

And on yet another unrelated tangent, D-2 till Thanksgiving! I really need a long break…but first got to tackle those advertisement blog entries.

Damn, I’m starving.
